HOW
Creating a Cat Proof Garden
Measuring your Garden
1
Measure the length of your entire fence line
The average UK garden is 16m x 16m, with a fence line length of 48m
2
Measure the distance between two fence posts
Typically fence posts are 1.8m apart
3
Identify the number of fence posts that are lower than 2m
Measure from the ground to the top of the post
4
Identify any high areas within 2m of the fence line. These are areas where a cat could jump from
If the high spots are moveable (e.g bins or outdoor furniture), move these more than 2m away from the fence line.
If they are un-movable (e.g Mounds or Compost Bins) measure the length of the high area
5
Measure the length of any bushes that provide a natural fence line or are directly in front of the fence
For such areas we recommend installing wooden posts (2"x 2") into the ground in front of the bushes to attach the brackets and mesh to.
If you do not have any bushes, put 0m in the calculator below
6
Input this information into the Cat Fence estimator
We will provide you a rough estimate of the number of products you will require
